The Hunger Games

Have you read those books? I've only read the first two. I'm waiting for my friend to give me the third one XD But. If you have. This post will be of considerable interest to you because it's about the

MOVIE.

They're making a "Hunger Games" movie!!! And we all just happen to know someone in it, by the way. Elizabeth is an extra in the movie, and you can click HERE to hear all about her awesome experience.

Because I hate spoilers I'm going to avoid talking about the actual story in this post. I'm going to just give in to my opinionated nature and go after my thoughts on the casting decisions.

Katniss

Jennifer Lawrence

So, first of all, I wanna say that I didn't picture Katniss like this. I think Jennifer is too old and too pretty. But she IS growing on me, and I don't feel like she was a HORRIBLE choice at all. Just not what I imagined.

Some of the other considerations for the part I like a lot better. My two favorites were Saoirse Ronan and Emma Roberts. They look more "Katniss" to me.

Emma Roberts

Saoirse Ronan

Peeta

Josh Hutcherson

My initial reaction to Josh Hutcherson playing Peeta was "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO{OOO}OOOOOO!" Because I don't really like Peeta {*ducks flying objects*} and I really like Josh {at least on a superficial, hottness-wise level}. I pictured Peeta as handsome, yeah, but more of a plain, bold handsome, not so pretty-boy-hott.

Alternate picks for her include Alex Pettyfer and Lucas Till, two even WORSE picks in my opinion. I see Peeta looking more William Moseley or Beau Mirchoff. I'm reeeeeeeally feeling Beau as Peeta. Like, that's EXACTLY what I pictured except Peeta's hair is lighter.

William Moseley

Beau Mirchoff

Gale

Liam Hemsworth

Originally I loved Liam Hemsworth as Gale, but the more I look at him the more I feel like Liam is more of a Peeta. I really like Chace Crawford as Gale actually.

Chace Crawford

Effie

Elizabeth Banks

I like this choice.

Haymitch

Woody Harrelson

GREAT choice! He's the perfect Haymitch.

And that's my opinionated ramble for the day :D I'm not super dissatisfied with anyone, don't get me wrong. I think they'll all do a good job. I've seen a lot worse (IMO) casting jobs!

Can't wait for the movie!

Worth a Thousand Words Week: Loss

Btw, the poll closed yesterday and it looks like strawberries are the most popular berry XD Poor blueberries only had one vote :'( Don't miss the chance to answer the blatantly character-revealing poll now in progress.

Pictures of Ann Coulter, Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Glenn Beck, Keith Olbermann, Sarah Palin, George Bush, lawrence o'donnell, Joe Biden, Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Donna Brazile, Rush Limbaugh, George Will, Nancy Pelosi, Arianna Huffington

I recently image googled some popular politicians and pundits, and was rather surprised to find a difference in the number of images which had been photoshopped, altered, or smutted up. There seems to be a difference depending on certain factors. More research required... I am interested in anyone's opinion on this. I will not mention what i found;
you must do it yourself. If your search is set on "no filter" you might notice a slightly different set of pics than if set on moderate. That is, the folks whose heads have been put on certain types of bodies
(s and m outfits) may or may not not show if you have your searches somewhat filtered.
but it works either way.

Our Office promotes nonviolence. Keeping a calm, pleasant, courteous interaction when when speaking with an insane ignorant ass---just kidding, you know me...
when when speaking with someone who is WHOLLY
uninformed, wrong, misinformed,
suffering from delusions, out of their mind--oops there i go again.--

it is hard to remain peaceful.
can't we all just get along- hah!
I will give you that. Even when a person is sincere in their beliefs, i find that others who disagree are ready to fight and argue in a most unkind way.
Folks who would be kind, forgiving, charming, polite, sweet to natives who are throwing babies into the volcano in order to have an abundant harvest are filled with teeth-gnashing vitriol when finding out a neighbor differs with them on financial, religious, or health care issues.

don't believe
 anything you see.
anything can be photoshopped!

Some earlier pictures and
related ponderings about the violence potential of
our humor HERE and HERE
these
next two photos were found when i put George Will in Search, had to laugh!
and the POW pic of McCain always makes me think of my father in Nam.

My ponderment is in
looking at the factors that contribute to certain populations acting in certain ways.
My own thought is that civility and  nonviolent, honorable behavior will always win out. If one wants power, if one wants to persuade, if one wants to win, in the end; meanness and nastiness will not help.
Will Not Help. find something else to artfully photoshop. like alfalfa buckwill.

pow mccain recovering from torture

And of Course, BatBoy- no proof has EVER been offered
that this was photoshopped.

I am going to look a little further into this and ponder who does what to photos on the net, and why.

Worth a Thousand Words Week: Nessie

Thanks for following, Annabelle!

And on that note, I'm still Twi-ing...

Chapter Five:

pg. 86: THERE'S the Bella we all know and hate!

pg. 88: And so begins the path of abandoning friends for Edward. *sigh*

pg. 89: Oh sure Edward, tell her to stop being friends with you, then chase her down every chance you get. That's not confusing and stupid at all.
She says she's trying to decide if Edward is a Bruce Wayne or a Peter Parker. Wow, Bella, Bruce Wayne doesn't have powers. You're definitely thinking of Clark. Get your superheroes straight.

pg. 90: Maybe I'm just in a cynical mood today, but this is getting cheesy fast.

pg. 92: Although admittedly, Edward is still a little breathtaking.

pg. 93: "What if I'm not a superhero? What if I'm the bad guy?" SERIOUSLY, CASTING DIRECTOR. ROBERT PATTINSON CANNOT DO THIS. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

pg. 94: Oh riiiiight. THAT'S why Edward is skipping class. ...lols.

pg. 96: Bella sometimes reminds me of my Official Best Friend, Ellie.

pg. 97: Genuine laugh #8. Heh.
She only weighs 110 pounds? Jeezus, how short IS she?

pg. 99: Damn. Laugh #9.

pg. 102: Despite myself I wish there were Edwards in the world. Ugh, and I was really convinced that I would hate him this time around. I really think it's just Pattinson. He just unbelievably sucks. And not blood.

pg. 103: O.O Jeez. Edward is...volatile.

pg. 104: *narrows eyes* Okay, that is way too bossy, Edward. If you weren't a vampire I'd slap you. And if you weren't made of paper and ink.

pg. 107: Okay, Edward is the most unsubtle, ridiculous flirt ever. He's obviously attention-starved. And hott, but that's beside the point.

pg. 108: No secrets in Forks...or so YOU think, Bella.

Stereotypes...

Thanks for following, Charlotte! :D Love your blog.

Are they good or bad? I don't care {at least at the moment. Normally it's the kind of debate I'd like.}. Today I am here to embrace them in a discussion of

Guy Stereotypes: Tall Dark and Handsome vs. Sweet Sensitive Surfer

Two stereotypes, two choices, two opposite elements. Both can be hott, I'll be the first to admit, but every girl has a "Type," and mine just happens to be the former, TDH.

He's mysterious, shadowy and sarcastic. Dark hair, mischievous eyes, smooth voice. Intense, clever and the tiniest bit dangerous.

Just out of curiosity, I Googled "tall dark and handsome." My screen filled with images like this

this

and this

If there had been any doubt in my mind that this was my Type, it was immediately erased.

On the other hand, my good friend Brianna is partial to the Triple S type. Chill, blonde and sensitive. The sparkling white smile, the sexy tanned skin, the bright blue eyes. Funny and sweet the slightest bit shy.

I Googled "hott blonde guys" in order to get some examples.

Yeah. Not my type.

What about you guys? Is your type TDH or the Triple S?

"The Type"

I think girls have more developed taste than guys when it comes to the opposite sex. Would you agree?

I'm going to assume you do, considering most of the people who follow this blog are of the female persuasion.

Here's how I, as a girl, see it: with guys, there is always "the type." There are things that guys ALL love about girls, like a check list, and when each requirement is met, the girl is pronounced "hott." Like for instance, whoever this is.
Every guy will think she's good-looking.

Of course, some guys may like a girl that other guys don't. That can happen. BUT. There are some girls that every single guy ever is going to agree is attractive.

That is not the case with girls. There is no "type" with us. There is no universal "hott." No matter who the guy is, there will be a girl out there who disagrees. We have our own preferences. There is not a checklist of characteristics that goes for every female on the planet.

For example, I think Thomas Dekker is one sexy man.
My best friend Cassidy does not. {How the hell--anyway.}

Conversely, Cassidy thinks Ryan Reynolds is the stuff, when I just...don't. At all.
{Although he does have nice abs.}

As a matter of fact, Cassidy and I have almost the exact opposite taste in guys. We were bored and even made a list one day of guys I like that she doesn't, and vice versa. We came up with a list of characteristics that I especially like and dislike, and ones she especially likes and dislikes.

Because nothing is private in today's warped and pathetic society, I'll share the lists with you.

Stephanie Likes:
1. Expressive eyebrows
2. Thinnish faces
3. Tall
4. Tan
5. Intense eyes

Stephanie Hates:
Round faces
Poofy lips

Cassidy's Likes:
1. Squinty eyes
2. Squarish face
3. Big lips
4. Tall
5. Dark

Cassidy's Dislikes:
Thin faces
Narrow chins

It's funny how two people {who are usually so alike} can have such different opinions on hottness.

Why is it exactly? Is it because girls are more complex? Are we more in tune to the little things, like expression and the implications of a certain look? Maybe we're just deeper. It takes more than hair and boobs to get our attention XD

{Just kidding, boys.

You know, kind of.}

What do you like/dislike about the opposite sex looks-wise?

Twin Day

It's not really. But if it were, I'd talk about how I've recently discovered the fact that Heath Ledger and Jordan Gordon-Levitt look a heck of a lot alike.

Hey, now that I'm on the subject...guess what? :3 Heath Ledger and Jordan Gordon-Levitt look a heck of a lot alike.

POP QUIZ!

Who's this?

How about this?
Yeah. See what I mean?

It's ridiculous.
Maybe they're related.
Except they're not.
So, the obvious question is...how can you tell them apart?? It's actually pretty easy: pick the one you think is more attractive.

That one's Heath Ledger.

HG Time!

"What," you might ask, "is HG?" Well I am here to tell you that HG is my abbreviation for "Hott Guy." If you are ever around me for long periods of time in public, you may hear me say this once or twice.

{"Dude. HG, 1o o'clock."}

So hopefully you are now excited, as you well should be. I am about to present you with one of my personal all-time favorite acting individuals:

Heeeeath Leeeeedgerrrrrrr!

{Or Heath Ledger. Whichever pronunciation you prefer.}

In the very first legit post on Pandora, I posted about Hott Guys. Heath Ledger was #3 on my list, but now I'm wondering what I was thinking, you know? But I think I was going by overall hotness, not just plain sexiness. And there is a difference, because if you look at that first post, you'll notice I have a Sexy Scale reading in addition to just putting the guys in order.

{I have being shallow down to a very exact science.}

{Ohhhhh I disgust myself sometimes.}

But Heath Ledger, y'all. Heath Ledger.

You can find him in "The Patriot," playing a {sexy} American teenager during the Revolutionary War. He fights and protects his girl and seeks revenge and remains honorable the whole dang movie. <333

He's also in "A Knight's Tale," a movie that I kind of LOOOOOVE. Like, I really love it. He's incredible in it, the story is a classic winner, and his character absolutely drips with the kind of honor you {are supposed to} find in the south. {Where I live, if that wasn't obvious from the "y'all" I used earlier.}

He's also in "10 Things I Hate About You," which I need to see. Although I'm not a huge fan of him with long, dark, curly hair... >.>

Then he's the Joker in "The Dark Knight." He did an incredible job of the role, but it's not like he was gonna be that attractive as a psychopathic clown.

http://www.gambling911.com/files/publisher/Heath-Ledger-Joker-121508L_1.jpg?0

Then you have "Brokeback Mountain"...

I don't wanna talk about it.

So yeah. As a person, Heath Ledger isn't particularly deep or awesome and that's really disappointing. He died when he was only 29, and from drug overdose, too. He also has two illegitimate children. So personally, I don't like the guy as much as I used to, and that's kind of depressing.

However does great job of acting and looking the way he does, so you gotta give him some credit XD

More Pictures Because I Can't Bear to End on the Joker:
