Hot Summer of 2011 Cooks the Kansas Corn in the Fields

On the one side of the road, where there is a wee bit o' irrigation, there are some fruits-- (see first video below). The sensuous sound of long green leaves touching and parting; the flexible movement with the wind.

On the other side of the road, the side with no water, the corn was stripped early, dry and brown, perhaps some field corn for the cows is there. Stiff and crackling. second video, and these pictures: click on pic to view these  large files
