Golden wheat whisper sounds. Praying for Rain. a hundred different bird calls. Wishing mosquitoes were smaller. the scent of Thawing Cowdung in Spring. Living in the country has ups and down; it is possible one may never go back. perhaps... living on the beach...

Thinking About Japan here in the Flint Hills

It is a small connected Globe. I cannot stop thinking of the Japanese people, many of whom are cut off from media and have little idea of all that is happening.
Is anyone coming to help us with water, food, has the earthquake hit tokyo, are we alone? Some may have No Idea what is happening for the past days.
Our students here, how are they coping?
Sadness.

The Flint Hills help me realize how close we all are.
