I was so excited to receive these two (full size!) products from Lucy at Liz Earle to test out and given that I'm a big fan of the brand (as you all well know by now!), I couldn't wait to get started.
Lucy sent me Liz Earle Foot Scrub, which contains natural pumice to exfoliate the rough skin on your feet to leave them smooth and soft. It also contains avocado and wheatgerm oils, which are rich in vitamin E. The Peppermint and Rosemary essential oils in this scrub make it a pleasure to use and your feet end up smelling really fresh. I am a high heel addict so I really need to make sure that I take care of my feet or they would start to look like something manky out of Lord of The Rings! Lucy also sent their peppermint-scented Foot Repair Moisturiser which uses a blend of shea butter, wheatgerm oil and avocado oil for super soft skin.
I started off by using my lovely pink PedEgg to smooth down my feet, then I dampened my tootsies and applied the scrub, concentrating on my heels and any other particularly dry spots. Once I had dried my feet off, I applied the foot cream. The first thing I noticed was the lovely smell and that it sinks in really fast (I hate foot cream that leaves your feet all greasy and just seems to sit on the surface of the skin...I have wooden floors in my flat so there have been some slippage incidents!). I popped on some 100% cotton socks and went to bed. The cream contains peppermint, rosemary and 7 other essential oils and you can really feel the benefit of them the day after. I woke up with lovely soft skin on my feet and they looked like they had never even seen a high heel!
They have a seclection of products in John Lewis stores if you fancy checking it out in the flesh (or plastic as it were). For all you girlies across the water, Liz Earle have a US website us.lizearle.com where US customers can buy in dollars and I know that a selection of their products can be found in Studio in LA and Browns in Miami.
To summarise, I always have high expectations of Liz Earle products and these two beauties didn't let me down. They were a pleasure to use and given that they have organic ingredients, you always feel like you're really doing your body a favour. I will be parading my feet with pride now (much to the digust of my fiance who has a weird foot phobia!ha ha)
