Diary of a Makeup Artist Entry 14.. "Nothin But a Good Time"

Saturday night I got to hang out with these two dudes... Remind you of anyone?
I was feeling a little Bella-ish taking this picture with Cody Karey and his pianist at the David Foster and Friends concert on May 9th. B.J. and I (my makeup artist partner and one of my BFFs) ran the hair and makeup room which was THE place to have fun backstage that night. We had a great time hanging with the lineup and dolling them up for the stage. I had never heard of Cody, probably because I watch very little t.v. But he was a doll and we had a great time recommending books to each other. Then later he went on stage and my new friend BLEW me away!

Later in the evening we had this little Philippino Doll named Charice came in and I curled her hair, B.J. did her makeup and we sang her Happy Birthday.  She was so cute when she informed us it was her birthday.  Well naturally we broke into song, twas the theme of the night.  I hadn't heard of this wonder voice girl, and once again I was WOWed!!

Luckily our out of tune singing didn't damage her ears as you can see.  Like I said, I rarely watch t.v. or keep up with the tabloids. Ignorance can be bliss. When you have no idea of an entertainer's stardom, it can work well for you, because you can relax, have a great time and just be yourself.

B.J. and I had a great time watching the show from our little makeup room backstage on our monitor.. eh! But talk about surround sound baby... Lets see we had Clay Aiken, Brian Mc Knight, Donny Osmond, Phillip Bailey, The Canadian Tenors (who are so cute and dress so well), Peter Cincotti (who made the mistake of laying in the sun too long) Cody Karey and Nita Whitaker, Charice and a bunch more who's names I can't remember. "Nothin but a Good Time" for sure...
