This week's Self Portrait Tuesday topic is "grass".I love grass and greenery altogether. So I have a serious bone to pick. Here in Nevada we have water restrictions galore because our beloved Lake Mead is shrinking. So we as residents here we are encouraged if not forced (new homes) by the water police to desert landscape our yards, which is NOT my favorite. So you see numerous yards of rock with an occasional fake grass patch or what I call puff balls of grass.

We are allowed specific water times and you can be fined if you're caught watering outside of that time. So here is where I get annoyed. MOST of Lake Mead's water is pumped to the LosAngeles area. And guess what ZERO water restrictions. I ask you... how is this fair??

So I really should'nt complain too much because... weelllll.... I am a water criminal. My backyard was totally ripped out when we moved into this house, and guess what we did? We put in a lawn! And brought the tree back from near death. I could'nt resist. Isn't grass worth the trouble? I think so..
